Joining an alumni club mailing list

Your alumni club affiliation is automatically assigned based on the home address listed on your profile. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and Northwestern community members can choose to join the mailing list for another club by following that club’s space in Our Northwestern. There are two ways to join an alumni club mailing list. Based on your home address, you are automatically associated with nearby alumni clubs. If you change your address, your alumni club association will automatically change based on that new address. To receive info on another alumni club, you can opt into their communications by following their space (i.e., webpage) in Our Northwestern.

Note that any change you make will take effect within two business days.

Update/verify your home mailing address to join your local alumni club

  1. Go to and log in using your preferred sign-in method
  2. Near the upper right photo, click Edit Your Profile
  3. Click the plus sign to expand the Address & Phone section
  4. Enter your new address and click Save

Follow another alumni club to join their mailing list

  1. Go to and log in using your preferred sign-in method
  2. In the upper right-hand corner click the magnifying glass and enter the name of the club you want to join. Most clubs will have a gold, circle icon before their name and will appear under the Places section of the search results.
    • If you press Enter after typing your search terms, a results page is displayed.
    • To narrow search results to alumni clubs only, click the Places radio button under the Search for filter.
  3. Click the name of the club you want to join to go to their space (webpage).
  4. In the upper right corner, click Follow
