Preventing frequent disconnections from Northwestern Wireless on macOS
If your macOS computer frequently disconnects from Northwestern wireless, make sure the security certificate for the connection is set to always accept the connection.
"eduroam" will be the primary wireless network at Northwestern on December 20, 2021. The "Northwestern” network/SSID will no longer be a visible choice for connecting to the University’s wireless network during the fall quarter of 2021 and no longer an available connection on December 20, 2021. - In Spotlight, search for keychain access.
- In the top-right corner of the Keychain Access window, search for netauth2.
- Double-click the certificate, twist the Trust triangle down to open its options, and select the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) option to Always Trust.
- Close the window, and when prompted, enter in your local computer password to save the edits.
