Windows 10 - Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts are keys or combinations of keys that provide an alternative way to do something that you’d typically do with a mouse. Below are all of the shortcuts for a Windows 10 machine. These can be helpful for Northwestern Systems/Applications such as NUFinancials, CAESAR, NUPlans, InfoEd, Facilities Connect, and CatTracks.

Alt + Tab (then use arrows to navigate between windows and press Enter to select) | Switch between open app or desktop windows |
Windows logo key + Left arrow | Maximize the app or desktop window to the left side of the screen |
Windows logo key + Right arrow | Maximize the app or desktop window to the right side of the screen |
Select window, press Windows + Left Arrow, then Windows + Up Arrow | Position the app or desktop window into the upper-left quarter of the screen |
Select window, press Windows + Left Arrow, then Windows + Down Arrow | Position the app or desktop window into the lower-left quarter of the screen |
Select window, press Windows + Right Arrow, then Windows + Up Arrow | Position the app or desktop window into the upper-right quarter of the screen |
Select window, press Windows + Right Arrow, then Windows + Down Arrow | Position the app or desktop window into the lower-right quarter of the screen |
Press Shift + Right Click on the program icon in the start menu then select an option | Cascade All Windows, Show All Windows Stacked, or Show All Windows Side by Side |
Windows logo key + Home | Minimize all except the active desktop window (restores all windows on the second stroke) |
